NetClassroom
This module enables parents to check their child's grades, attendance, conduct and schedule, as well as print report cards and transcripts -- all from their homes and offices through the World Wide Web. NetClassroom also allows students to view daily assignments, grades and announcements from a secure Web site. Parents can send e-mail to their student's teachers directly from NetClassroom, view their current billing statement and even update their address online. A customizable scrolling message appearing on NetClassroom's opening screen alerts parents to important news or events at your school.Information is kept secure because parents enter NetClassroom using a unique password that restricts access to only their student's record. Further, powerful administrative tools built into NetClassroom allow you to control exactly which data and features parents can access. For example, you may restrict viewing to include only final grade information. Or you might disable NetClassroom's e-mail feature.NetClassroom is an innovative tool for involving parents in their child's education and your school's academic life. It's easy to use and can help cut down on the time your staff spends researching records for inquisitive parents. Plus, it's a great incentive when recruiting parents to send their children to your school.
[View screen]Automated Master Schedule Creation
Set aside the spreadsheets, index cards or Post-It notes you use for scheduling. Registrar's Office can automatically create your school's master schedule. The Automated Master Schedule Creation module looks at course requests, faculty availability and preferences, classroom requirements and availability, and course priorities to create classes ready for you to place students into.Because Registrar's Office is flexible enough to create the most complex schedules, you can put the same teachers into upper and lower school classes, even if they are on different timetables! The system easily accommodates team or block schedules. You can also work with an unlimited number of master schedule scenarios at the same time. Doing this allows you to run "what if" situations without overwriting what has been created previously. Further, it's simple to go in and make changes manually to take care of special situations or last-minute requests. Ultimately, you are assured that your school's valuable resources are being used in the most efficient way possible.
Automated Student Scheduling
IMPROVED! When your master schedule is complete, you simply click a button to automatically place students into classes. Automated Student Scheduling looks at course requests, pre- and co-requisites as well as other eligibility factors to quickly create student schedules. Registrar's Office helps you minimize the chance for conflict by giving students the opportunity to request alternate classes. Classes most difficult to schedule take priority. The program uses a complex algorithm to maximize scheduling success. If conflicts are encountered, the program shows you exactly which classes and students are involved to help you reach resolution quickly and easily. You can even reschedule existing classes if needed. The overall result? You avoid distracting scheduling issues with students, parents and teachers so your school can run more smoothly.Jackson Software's GradeQuick! Interface
Designed to interface with Jackson Software's GradeQuick! software, Gradebook helps faculty members quickly accomplish their daily administrative tasks so they can concentrate on teaching. Gradebook enables faculty members to enter grades, comments and details of every assignment directly from their desktop computers, all in a fast spreadsheet-style data-entry environment. It doesn't matter whether your teachers have IBM-compatible or Macintosh computers. Gradebook works the same from either platform. Information can be transferred to the main Registrar's Office database either by diskette or file transfer over your network.Data Entry Scanning
Manual data entry can be a time-consuming inconvenience, particularly in larger schools. That's why we have worked with Scantron to create special bubble forms that enable you to enter course requests, grades and attendance directly into the Registrar's Office database without using your keyboard. All you need is a Scantron series scanner, and you're ready to begin saving enormous amounts of data-entry time. The Scanning module is especially beneficial if all your data needs to come to a central location, such as a non-networked computer.
